History Of Web Designing

The web design history can be summarized as 3 generations of development:

First Generation: Html

It was the genius of Tim Berners Lee which led to the creation of the World Wide Web in 1994. After its invention, HTML was the only programming language that could design websites. Web pages were identified by a simple layout table, text, and links, but without graphics.


Second Generation: Html2

After 1993, web developers began using additional HTML codes. HTML2 was created to enhance and eliminate confusion over the use of HTML1. The web developer was in charge to choose and enhance their own web designs and content with HTML codes.

Third Generation: Html3

Many ideas and outside-the-box thinking led to the upgrading of the programming language to HTML3 and designers began using HTML3 tablets as well as style sheets. The aesthetics of websites have reached their highest level with appealing patterns and vibrant backgrounds and animated images (.gif). Flash was also added. The entire landscape of web design was transformed.
